Swiss tech firm Comet lands in Shelton
Choyce Peterson Inc. in Norwalk, a commercial real estate brokerage and consulting firm that specializes in tenant representation, announced it has completed lease negotiations for Comet Technologies USA Inc. at 100 Trap Falls Road Extension in Shelton.
Choyce Peterson principals John Hannigan and Alan Peterson represented Comet Technologies, which had been at 76 Progress Drive in Stamford.
Comet Technologies is the U.S. subsidiary of the Switzerland-based Comet Group, a global provider of systems, components and services in X-ray, radio-frequency and other technologies.
Choyce Peterson had handled several previous renewals for Comet at its Stamford location. The new, 16,500-square-foot facility ”“ Class A flex space ”“ is part office, part light assembly/warehouse and applications laboratory.
“We led Comet on an extensive search for a building that could accommodate Class A office space contiguous to a high-ceilinged light assembly area with a loading dock,” Hannigan said in a press release. “We toured buildings throughout Stamford, Norwalk, Shelton, Stratford, Trumbull, Newtown, Bethel, Wilton, Orange, Milford and Monroe.”
Jeremy Simon, general manager for the Americas at Comet, in the press release said, “We were one of the first tenants to tour this building with the new prospective owner, who was very willing to work with us on redesigning a new exterior glass corner entry and lobby.”
Simon called the site “perfect for our needs,” adding, “Not only did Choyce Peterson do an excellent job in the search for new space and negotiating the terms of our new lease, but they managed the various players on the team very professionally and coordinated the numerous steps involved in this complicated move flawlessly.”
Choyce Peterson was founded in 1997 and has offices in Norwalk and Rye Brook, N.Y.
