SunGard renews MerrittView lease

SunGard Availability Services L.P. will remain a tenant of Norwalk”™s MerrittView building through 2018, according to Malkin Properties, the marketing and managing agent of the building.

SunGard, an IT service and operations provider, renewed a year before its previous agreement expired, according to Jeffrey H. Newman, executive vice president of Malkin.

SunGard occupies a 5,226-square foot office on the fifth floor of MerrittView, an eight-story building located at the intersection of Route 7 and the Merritt Parkway. The company specializes in disaster recovery.

Malkin”™s portfolio of office buildings totals 1.85 million square feet of space in Fairfield County and Westchester County, N.Y.  First Stamford Place, the three-building office complex along I-95 in Stamford, is among its most well-known local properties.
