Stew Leonard’s donates 2,000 turkeys

In its 33rd annual “Turkey Brigade,” Stew Leonard’s Farm Fresh Foods donated nearly 2,000 turkeys to Connecticut and New York families in need Nov. 15.

The annual tradition is the store’s way of giving thanks to the communities it serves.

Several stores, including ones in Norwalk, Danbury and Yonkers, distributed the turkeys to more than 100 churches, schools, civic groups and elderly housing and nutrition programs.

Stew Leonard’s is headquartered in Norwalk.
