State to help commuters find parking on New Haven line
The state Department of Transportation has announced a new effort to help rail commuters find available parking spots along the New Haven line.
As many as 500 parking spaces are available at Metro-North Railroad’s Bridgeport and Fairfield Metro stations, according to the DOT.
Commuters looking to obtain parking permits for either of the two stations can contact representatives of CTrides, an initiative of the DOT, at (877) 287-4337 or at info@ctrides.com.
“It has been well publicized that there are waiting lists for commuter parking at most of our rail stations on the New Haven Line. But people should know that a significant amount of permit parking is available at these two stations,” said DOT Commissioner James Redeker in a June 7 release.
