Sports Illustrated show set for NBC Sports

As it prepares to relocate to Stamford, NBC Sports announced it will air a new, monthly “Sports Illustrated” program with Time Inc. Sports Group.

The program debuts July 24 on NBC Sports Network, with Red Line Films producing the show. New York City-based Red Line has produced multiple Emmy award-winning programs that have aired on NBC Sports”™ rival ESPN, as well as on NBC and CBS.

“Sports Illustrated is an iconic brand and the gold standard in long-form journalism,” said John Miller, president of programming for NBC Sports, as quoted by Sports Illustrated. “This programming fits incredibly well with our rich history of storytelling.”

The premiere will air three days prior to the Olympics opening ceremonies, with new episodes originating on either NBC Sports Network or NBC.
