Spectrum gives $1K to Heart & Purpose foundation of Stamford
STAMFORD — Spectrum has donated $1,000 to Heart & Purpose through the internet, mobile and cable TV provider’s national community philanthropic program, Spectrum Employee Community Grants.
The donation will support the Stamford-based foundation’s critical needs programming and immediate needs dedicated to empowering youth and families through financial assistance, guiding them towards a purposeful future.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generous donation from Spectrum,” said Nupsie-flore Exantus, vice president of Heart & Purpose. “This funding will enable us to expand our services and reach even more individuals in need. We deeply appreciate the support of Spectrum and their commitment to strengthening our community.”
Spectrum, which is owned by Charter Communications, has provided funding to more than 542 local nonprofits in 35 states since July 2019.
“Through Spectrum Employee Community Grants, we’re proud to provide support to vital community organizations with which our local employees are already volunteering their time and talent,” said Rahman Khan, group vice president of community impact for Charter Communications. “Together, we’re building stronger communities where our customers and employees live and work across America.”
Recipients of the donation deliver critical social services, helping underserved residents meet basic needs, including food, shelter, clothing, job training and neighborhood safety. Each awardee is nominated by one of the company’s more than 101,000 U.S. employees who has volunteered with the organization for at least one year.
