Real estate veteran joins Avison Young
A health care real estate specialist, Sean McDonnell, has joined Avison Young as principal in the firm”™s Fairfield/Westchester office in New Canaan. Arthur Mirante, Toronto-based Avison Young principal and company president for Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, made the announcement.
The move is already in effect.
McDonnell will work with Mirante and Sean Cahill, Avison Young principal and managing director of the Fairfield/Westchester office, to advance Avison Young”™s regional health care real estate practice. McDonnell also will assist with tenant and landlord requirements in the office and industrial sectors, according to a statement announcing his hire.
An expert in medical practice expansion and strategic planning, according to Avison Young, McDonnell has initiated health care growth and expansion programs as well as physician management initiatives for local and national firms. His medical property clients have included Norwalk Hospital, Yale-New Haven Hospital, Yale University, St. Vincent”™s Hospital, Davis Cos. and Marcus Partners.
Prior to joining Avison Young, McDonnell served as a senior director at Cushman & Wakefield in Connecticut, where he was part of the firm”™s national health care practice group. He also previously served as executive director of real estate operations and property management for Norwalk Hospital.
