ProFitness is bought
ProFitness Health Solutions is being acquired for $7.5 million by I-Trax Inc., which provides health clinic, pharmacy and fitness services at corporate sites.
Founded in 1983, Shelton-based ProFitness today employs 500 people at 100 corporate wellness facilities and expects $13.5 million in revenue this year.
Westport-based Pequot Capital Management is the largest shareholder in I-Trax, which is based in Chadds Ford, Pa., and employs 1,100 people on a full-time basis.
I-Trax”™s president and chief medical officer Raymond Fabius previously ran 200 on-site medical clinics for Fairfield-based General Electric Co.
In the third quarter, I-Trax had an $800,000 loss on $35 million in revenue.
