Pitney Bowes reports revenue, profit loss for second quarter
Global technology company Pitney Bowes Inc. reported second quarter revenue of $836 million, a decline of 5 percent from $881 million in the second quarter of 2015.
Revenue declined 4 percent versus the prior year when adjusted for both the impact of currency and the impact from the previously exited direct operations in Mexico, South Africa and five markets in Asia.
The Stamford firm said the comparison to the prior year was unfavorably impacted by an estimated $15-20 million, or 2 percentage points, due to the temporary business impacts of the cutover to its new enterprise business platform in the U.S.
Profit for the quarter was roughly $54 million, compared with about $152 million in the second quarter of 2015.
