Online Trading Academy inks Norwalk lease
Cushman & Wakefield announced recently that Online Trading Academy Norwalk has relocated to a 4,489-square-foot office at 488 Main Ave. in Norwalk.
With 16,000 square feet of leasing in 18 months, the building is now almost 90 percent occupied, Cushman & Wakefield reported.
In a statement, Cushman & Wakefield, with offices in 60 countries and in Stamford, called the academy “a global leader in the financial education industry.”
Cushman & Wakefield”™s leasing team led by Steve Baker, executive director; Adam Klimek, director; and Bill Montague, associate director, represented the landlord, Edgewood Capital Advisors. The tenant was represented by Stephanie Coleman, formerly of Cresa Real Estate.
“488 Main Ave is now 90 percent leased,” said Klimek. “I attribute that to Edgewood Capital”™s responsive and hands-on management approach. Their capital improvement program transformed the property into a unique, boutique office building with the most competitive rents on the Route 7/Merritt Parkway corridor.”
Jonathan Breen, director at Southport-based Edgewood Capital Advisors, said, “We”™re very excited to welcome Online Trading Academy Norwalk to 488 Main Ave. They”™re a fine addition to our impressive tenant roster, comprised primarily of institutional-quality professional service firms. We”™re also particularly pleased with our partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, which has yielded more than 16,000 square feet of new leases in the last 18 months.” A single 4,010-square-foot unit remains unleased.
“This is the ideal location for Online Trading Academy Norwalk,” said Steve Flege, general manager of the Online Trading Academy Norwalk Education Center. “We have had an increasing demand for investing and trading education in this region and we are excited to have a new center in Norwalk to support that growth.”
