Norwalk retail center fetches more than $10M

Penny P. Wickey and Daniel Neaton of Saugatuck Commercial Real Estate in Westport recently represented Golden Crest Motel Corp. in the sale of Golden Crest”™s 20,000-square-foot retail center at 596 Westport Ave. in Norwalk.

The property is just more than 1.6 acres and is adjacent to the Whole Foods shopping center on Route 1, Westport.

The center is 100 percent leased to retail tenants including FedEx Office, Panera Bread, SuperCuts/Regis, Hudson City Savings Bank and the Red Cross.

The property was purchased by Westport Ave. Partners L.L.C. for a sum cited as “over $10 million.”

SCRE, which represents tenants, landlords, investors and developers in leasing, sales and investments and in the development and repositioning of retail and office properties, was the sole broker in the transaction. The SCRE website is saugatuckcommercial.com.
