Moira Collins rejoins Women’s Business Development Council board

STAMFORD — A retired Gartner executive has returned to the Women’s Business Development Council (WBDC) board of directors.

Moira Collins, who recently was group vice president of strategic programs at Gartner, returns to the WBDC board after serving from June 2014-May 2023.  Collins, who has more than 30 years of experience in advisory services, including product marketing, product development, client experience, and strategic initiatives, was the treasurer of the WBDC. Gartner is a research and consulting firm that provides technology insights

Throughout her career, Collins advanced through numerous roles in sales, marketing, and business operations, building extensive expertise in transformational change initiatives, global team leadership, market strategy development, client experience design, product lifecycle management, and comprehensive marketing strategies.

Before joining Gartner, Collins held key roles in marketing and finance at both Playtex Apparel and Amerigroup, further honing her skills in business strategy and organizational development. In addition to her corporate work, she has been an active leader in the nonprofit sector.

Post-retirement, Collins supports entrepreneurs as a mentor with SCORE, helping to develop business plans, marketing strategies, and product development. She also previously served on the Executive Committee and as a board member of My Autism Connection. Collins holds an M.B.A. in marketing and finance from the University of Connecticut and a B.S. from St. Lawrence University.
