Mannheim Steamroller at the Palace Dec. 11

The holidays have a knack for winnowing wheat from chaff so that “It”™s a Wonderful Life” remains, but “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians” has faded.

Mannheim Steamroller is at the top of the list of holiday winners with staying power.

“Mannheim Steamroller Christmas” comes to the Palace Theatre in Stamford on Thursday at 8 p.m.

According to the Palace, “Mannheim Steamroller Christmas merges traditional Christmas music with a modern sound along with dazzling multi-media effects to create a stunning visual and audio experience.”

Despite its Euro-sounding name, the band is American and has sold 28 million albums in the U.S.
