LifeCare and AGS forge pact
Shelton-based LifeCare Inc., a provider of specialty care services, has become a corporate partner with the American Geriatrics Society”™s Foundation for Health in Aging.
“We’re very proud of our partnership with the AGS Foundation, one of the nation’s most respected authorities on issues of health and aging,” said Dr. Barney Spivack, LifeCare medical director. “This relationship puts a wealth of valuable resources at the fingertips of LifeCare’s clients and partners.”
According to Lifecare the partnership offers its clients access to AGS’s considerable library of Web-based health and aging resources and gives AGS access to all of LifeCare”™s services.
The AGS Foundation materials address topics such as the aging process, health care decisions, and specific health and wellness issues that affect older adults.
“The AGS Foundation for Health in Aging is delighted with this partnership,” said Dr. Meghan Gerety, foundation-board chairwoman of AGS. “The Foundation works to disseminate its information as widely as possible, and the ability to reach a wider corporate audience and expand its work in aging advocacy is very important to us.”
