Klaff’s expands to Scarsdale

Norwalk-based Klaff”™s has opened its first store in Westchester on Central Park Avenue in Scarsdale.

“We are excited to introduce our distinctive home design offerings to the Westchester market,” said Joe Passero, chief operating officer of Klaff”™s.

Passero said Klaff”™s has been looking to expand to Westchester for years and he hopes to help the counties residents to add value and beauty to their homes.

The design retailer has locations in Danbury and Westport in addition to its South Norwalk headquarters.

The new Scarsdale store is 14,000 square feet. Central Park Avenue ”“ usually called Central Avenue ”“ is southern Westchester”™s main shopping drag. The company has signed a 15 year lease on the property.

The business, which began in 1921 as a wholesale plumbing supplier, has evolved into a large, independently owned home design retailer.

Passero, and his two sisters, Mollie Klaff Passero, president, and Debbie Klaff Katz, treasurer, represent the third Klaff generation to own and operate the company.
