Griffin Hospital opens family health center in Shelton

Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti cut the ribbon on the new Griffin Faculty Physicians Family Health Center in Shelton. He was joined by Griffin Hospital President and CEO Patrick Charmel, Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Bill Purcell, Real Estate Developer R.D. Scinto, state Sen. George Logan, members of the Griffin Health Board of Directors and Griffin Faculty Physicians staff.

Griffin Faculty Physicians has opened its new Family Health Center at 110 Commerce Drive in Shelton.

Griffin Hospital President and CEO Patrick Charmel was joined by state and local government officials and representatives from the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce in cutting the ribbon on the new 13,000-square-foot primary care office on April 23, with Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti, Chamber President and CEO Bill Purcell, and state Sen. George Logan in attendance.

The office has 24 exam rooms and a spa-like design that will be home to nine primary care providers. Services provided include X-ray and lab services; a patient resource and education center; and integrated care with genetic testing, remote health monitoring, diabetes education, behavioral health support, geriatric assessments, and future access to visiting Griffin Faculty Physicians gastroenterology, endocrine and cardiology specialists.
