After eight decades of good deeds, Greenwich United Way is ready to rock.
On Thursday at 8 p.m. the charity will notch its 80th birthday with a rock ’n’ roll show featuring a troika of rock royalty at Stamford’s Palace Theatre.
Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits, Micky Dolenz of The Monkees and Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere and the Raiders are scheduled to perform. The show is titled “Legends of the ’60s.” The three artists and their respective bands have sold more than 175 million records.
Tickets for the concert only are $50 and $75; the box office number to call is (203) 325-4466. VIP tickets that include a 6 p.m. cocktail party are $200; that number is the United Way’s: (203) 869-2221.

Oh, I wish I could be there! I love the “rock royalty” and “legends” – SO true. They are all great, but Mark Lindsay is my all time favorite in any kind of music. Still rocking with new music too. His newest CD (6/13), “Life Out Loud” is amazing. If you haven’t heard it yet get yourself a copy. You will love it. Rock on, Lord Lindsay.
