Greenwich Land Trust executive director retiring
Greenwich Land Trust (GLT) Executive Director Virginia “Ginny” Gwynn is retiring from that position after nearly nine years.
Gwynn will be replaced on an interim basis by Ann Sawyer, a former executive director and board member of GLT, until a permanent replacement is found.
The GLT board lauded Gwynn for overseeing its acquisition of the Mueller Preserve and its subsequent $1.5 million capital campaign to create the GLT Conservation Center there. She also expanded the GLT”™s staff, led it through the Land Trust Alliance”™s national accreditation process and guided many land acquisitions.
At its July meeting, the GLT board of directors announced that a new educational trail at the GLT Conservation Center will be named the Virginia Gwynn Heritage Preservation Trail.
