Kutuzava promoted

Catalyst Marketing Communications Inc. has promoted Greenwich resident Yuliya Kutuzava to senior public relations account executive. This is her second promotion since joining Catalyst in 2008 as an assistant account executive.  Kutuzava currently serves a number of the agency”™s business-to-business accounts.

Conley joins Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut

Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut announced Dr. Eric Conley has joined the practice in the role of consultative optometrist. Conley specializes in ocular disease, with an emphasis on early glaucoma diagnosis, advanced dry eye management and refractive surgery analytics. In addition to his work with OCC, Conley will also serve as clinical director for TLC Laser Eye Center, with offices in the same building as OCC in Fairfield.

Supplier of the Year

Picture That, “a corporate full-service art consulting firm” founded by Valerie A. Cooper in Stamford, was named Supplier of the Year during the Greater New England Minority Supplier Development Council”™s Annual Awards Gala May 6. The coucnil recognized Picture That for its growth in sales and employment; high-quality products and services at competitive prices; and contributions to the growth and development of the overall community.

Picture That has installed art in several Yale New Haven Health System facilities as a primary art vendor for the health system’s network of affiliates.

Benchmark Senior Living in Shelton

Benchmark Senior Living opened the doors of its new community, Benchmark Senior Living at Split Rock, May 19 at 708A Bridgeport Ave., Shelton. The $25 million project houses 92 apartments ”“ 72 traditional assisted living and 20 for those needing memory care in a secured neighborhood. Benchmark Senior Living currently owns and operates 16 other senior living communities in Connecticut.

WHSU lands grant

The WSHU Public Radio Group was named the recipient of a grant from the Fairfield County Community Foundation in Norwalk. With this grant in the amount of $12,500, WSHU will expand its coverage of news and features. WSHU is celebrating its 30th year as an NPR member station. This is the second consecutive year in which the foundation has recognized WSHU.

Bon apetit, compliments of chamber

The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce hosted some 500 guests at its Business & Culinary Showcase May 14 at Eastern Greenwich Civic Center in Old Greenwich. Seventy local businesses showcased their goods and services as part of the chamber”™s mission is to advocate, promote, connect and educate.

Kupchick, McKinney applaud pet bill’s passage

State Rep. Brenda Kupchick, R-Fairfield, and state Sen. John McKinney, R-Fairfield, lauded final legislative approval May 6 in the House of Representatives to increase standards at Connecticut pet shops and breeders to ensure the animals are treated more humanely.

Greer and Boccuzzi join First County Advisors

First County Advisors, the investment, wealth management and trust division of First County Bank announced the recent additions of Sandra Greer as vice president trust and investment officer and AnnaMarie S. Boccuzzi as estate and trust officer.

Greer will provide investment and financial management for individuals, families, businesses and nonprofits. Boccuzzi”™s primary responsibilities include trust administration, estate planning and settlement services.
