Fairfield co. delivers clean air to Southern Cal athletics facility

When putting the finishing touches on its 110,000-square-foot, multi-purpose athletics department facility, the University of Southern California looked across the country to AtmosAir Solutions to install an indoor air filtration system.

The AtmosAir indoor clean air quality system, which has been installed in the John McKay Center and is now operational, is designed to reduce mold, dust and odors and to control bacteria and the spread of airborne viruses.

The firm, based in Fairfield, has installed similar systems for the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, as well as for facilities used by the Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Mariners and the University of Richmond, said AtmosAir President Steve Levine.

“We’re very excited about our indoor air quality system going operational in the McKay Center,” Levine said in a statement. “We know from others who have installed our product … that their athletes and staff stay healthier and feel better when they train in their facilities.”

The McKay center houses meeting rooms, offices, a locker room for the school’s football team, an academic center, weight room, athletic training room and a digital media production facility.
