Ethan Allen continues expansion abroad

Ethan Allen Interiors Inc. has opened its second European location, this one in Antwerp, Belgium.

Late last year the Danbury-based interior design retailer opened its first European store in Brussels and began expanding its international strategy. With already 100 international locations, the company plans to soon open stores in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Korea, Romania and China.

“All over the world, the same things are important to our clients,” Farooq Kathwari, Ethan Allen”™s CEO, said in a press release. “Customization is key, as is the ability to shop in a ”˜total home resource”™ environment. We will reveal some exciting new developments in these areas in the months to come.”

Officials say the new location will bring further expansion opportunities as the European market becomes familiar with the quintessential, American-style brand.
