Deadline extended for property tax payments in Connecticut

Due to the winter weather, Gov. Dannel Malloy signed an executive order pushing back the deadline to Tuesday for Connecticut residents who pay property taxes on a semi-annual or quarterly basis.

“Between the significant snow we received last week, and now with today’s winter weather, extending this deadline will allow some additional time to help residents avoid accumulating interest fees,” Malloy said in a statement Monday.

The governor authorized the commissioner of the Department of Revenue Services to grant similar extensions for other filings. A list of those filings can be found on the agency’s website.
