De Niro on the streets of Greenwich

Movie production houses Lionsgate and Nu Image have begun the filming of “The Big Wedding” in Greenwich.

The movie is a romantic comedy about a long-divorced couple forced to pretend they are still happily married at their son”™s wedding.

The Church Street restaurant Gabriele”™s Italian Steakhouse has already served as a location for one of the shoots for the movie, which stars actors Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, Diane Keaton, Katherine Heigl, Amanda Seyfried, Robin Williams, Ben Barnes and Topher Grace.

Written and directed by Justin Zackham (“The Bucket List”), the “The Big Wedding” is scheduled to appear in theaters in October 2012.

XLerant brings in new leaders 

Norwalk-based XLerant Inc., which provides budgeting software for mid-sized organizations, has announced changes to its leadership staff.

The company has named Jim Perakis, former chairman and CEO of Hyperion, as chairman of the board, and Ted Dacko, formerly CEO of HealthMedia, as CEO. Sal Arena joined the company as vice president of sales and Joanne Brunn has been named vice president of client services.

Co-founder Lawrence Serven said the new staff members will be focused on budget accountability for a broader audience. Serven and co-founder Charles Pevsner had previously been responsible for the positions.
ISG bolsters India operation

Stamford-based Information Services Group Inc. has added more than 100 employees in Bangalore, India.

The advisory services company said the expansion was necessary to support increasing client demand. The India-based employees will start providing client services and support global operations from a new office, which the company said would “accommodate further expansion.”

ISG Chairman and CEO Michael Connors said that based on client demand he estimates the India operations could double in size by 2013.

The India operations were established in 2005 by ISG”™s subsidiary TPI.
