Competition seeks next generation’s leaders
Students from area high schools will compete Feb. 1 at Academic WorldQuest at UConn/Stamford.
A regional competition of high school teams, each made up of four students representing freshmen to seniors, the event is organized by the World Affairs Forum of Fairfield and Westchester Counties.
Teams will compete in 10 rounds of questions on topics ranging from cybersecurity to the Middle East. The winning team will then compete with students from around the country at the April 26 National Academic WorldQuest in Washington, D.C.
Tony Savino, news director, AM 1490 WGCH Greenwich, will act as game master for the competition, which runs 9 a.m.-noon. The community is invited to attend and there is no charge to attend.
