Plainfield Asset Management reportedly plans to vacate its Greenwich office, while establishing a disaster recovery location in Stamford.
The New York Post reported the plans of the hedge fund, which had taken office space at 100 W. Putnam Ave. in 2007 after UST relocated its headquarters there to Stamford.
According to the Post, Plainfield founder Max Holmes plans to return funds to investors and start one or more new funds with about $500 million in capital.

Benistar has relocated its Stamford sales and marketing office to 300 First Stamford Place, having previously been located at 2187 Atlantic St.

The company is leasing more than 7,000 square feet of space at 300 First Stamford Place, which is owned and managed by New York City-based Malkin Properties.
As part of the move, Benistar donated office furniture at its previous location to the Urban League of Southern Connecticut, which is taking over the Clearwater House offices.

Fitch Ratings assigned a “stable” outlook to several loans secured by portions of Danbury Fair Mall, which the agency said reflects the stable performance of the underlying portfolio.

The review did not include the mall”™s five anchor spaces, with Danbury Fair Mall yet to land a permanent tenant for the space formerly occupied by Filene”™s. Mall owner Macerich Co. has been shuttling temporary stores in the space on a seasonable basis; Fitch indicated the mall”™s retail occupancy rate is 96 percent when the Filene”™s space is utilized, and 85 percent when empty.

Pure Hockey L.L.C. and Commonwealth Lacrosse L.L.C. are opening their first Connecticut stores at 677 Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk, leasing 12,000 square feet of retail space that was converted last year from offices.
