Cigna signs with Startup America

Cigna Corp. reached a deal to provide health insurance and mentoring for the some 10,400 companies in the Startup America Partnership, which a year ago launched a Startup Connecticut affiliate that has attracted more than 200 members.

The startup companies we help today are tomorrow”™s Fortune 500 companies.”

At no charge, Cigna will develop a health and wellness education program for the Startup America member companies, with topics including health care reform and alternative insurance options. Cigna added it will seek out ways to mentor or do business with Startup America companies, and for ways to meet, mentor and do business with startup companies.

Startup America members can purchase Cigna”™s regular medical and dental offerings.
