Canadian real estate firm expands into Connecticut

Canada-based Avison Young, a commercial real estate services firm, has opened a newly formed Fairfield/Westchester office in New Canaan at 65 Locust Ave.

Mark E. Rose, chairman and CEO of Avison Young in Toronto, made the announcement.

Effective immediately, Sean Cahill becomes a principal and managing director of the new Fairfield/Westchester office. Cahill was most recently a senior vice president at CBRE in Stamford.

The office represents Avison Young”™s first office in Connecticut and fourth office in the tristate area. It is also the company”™s 41st office in the U.S. and 43rd outside Canada. The company employs more than 1,500 real estate personnel in the U.S. and Canada.
