Bridgeport Hospital bi-weekly food distribution to continue in 2025

BRIDGEPORT – Bridgeport Hospital’s bi-weekly food distribution program will continue for 2025 marking six years of successfully feeding 16,000 community members.

The distribution events are open to community members in need. The Connecticut Foodshare Mobile Pantry distributes a variety of free and nutritious food to families every other Wednesday from 4:30 p.m.– 5:15 p.m. in the rear parking lot of 200 Mill Hill Ave. The 2025 events will kick off Jan. 8 and run through Dec. 10.

“Food insecurity is a big issue in our community,” said Anne Diamond, DBA, JD, president of Bridgeport Hospital. “By offering these bi-weekly food distributions in partnership with Foodshare, our staff is helping to make healthy food easily accessible to families who need it most.”
