Bridgeport Bluefish announce ‘Fintastic Fridays’

The Bridgeport Bluefish announced on Friday the promotional lineup for “Fintastic Fridays,” a series of themed home games benefiting local organizations during the 2015 regular season.

During each Friday night home game, the team will sport a new jersey to go along with the night’s theme, which will include tuxedo, sci-fi, Santa, SNL tribute, superhero and other themed jerseys. Fintastic Fridays will honor local police, teachers and youth groups, as well as St. Jude’s Children Hospital and the Wounded Warrior Project.

A total of 11 Fintastic Fridays will be held throughout the season, which runs from late April through Sept. 20.

The Bluefish organization also will unveil its new Ballpark at Harbor Yard Beer Garden during the team’s home opener April 24, where fans will have the chance to win prizes on Friday night home games. The team will also host a “Flat Screen Friday” giveaway during Friday home games to benefit the Bluefish Educational and Sportsmanship Foundation, as well as “Facebook Fridays,” where fans can take advantage of other promotions.

A member of the Liberty Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, the Bridgeport Bluefish play at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Main Street in Bridgeport.
