Baldwin expands Europe operations

Baldwin Technology Co. Inc. has acquired Hildebrand Systeme GmbH, a printing press cleansing company with 20 workers in Germany and Switzerland.

The companies did not immediately specify what Baldwin paid for Hildebrand, whose systems extract dust from sheets of varying materials as they pass along rollers.

Baldwin sells a range of printing press systems for publishing companies. In its most recent fiscal year ending last June, the company generated half of its $179 million in revenue in Europe.

Baldwin employs a dozen people at its Shelton headquarters.
