Avelo Airlines keeps growing at Tweed airport
NEW HAVEN — Avelo Airlines continues to grow its footprint at Tweed-New Haven Airport as it announced Monday nonstop service to four new destinations just a month after marking its third year flying out of the airport.
The airline is adding four new nonstop destinations from Tweed-New Haven and a third international destination from Hartford’s Bradley International Airport. With the addition of these flights, Avelo will serve 34 popular nonstop destinations from Connecticut.
Breeze Airways
Tweed-New Haven Airport on Tuesday will announce the launch of Breeze Airways’ inaugural flight. Earlier this year, Tweed-New Haven announced Breeze would begin offering nonstop service to 10 destinations throughout Florida, South Carolina, Virginia, North Carolina, and Louisiana.
Last month, Avelo celebrated three years of service at HVN, flying more than 2.7 million customers at Tweed. In that time, the airline has operated nearly 20,000 flights, has expanded to 27 nonstop destinations, and extended the New Haven fleet to eight Boeing Next-Generation 737s.
