The world”™s number-one provider of fully furnished and equipped offices, the Regus Group, is opening its newest business center on the fourth floor of 500 W. Putnam Ave. in Greenwich.

The company hopes the building, a class-A four-story structure, will provide convenient highway access to New York City and New England via Interstate 95. At 15,000 square feet, the center will feature 51 offices, 100 work stations and two conference rooms. It is the most-recent addition to Regus”™ more than 900 locations worldwide.

“Our first center in Greenwich is a great alternative for those clients who want to avoid the commute into New York and work closer to where they live,” said Jeff Doughman, regional vice-president for Regus. “Our clients get a prestigious Greenwich business address at a cost-effective price.”

According to Doughman, Regus was filled their Stamford and Shelton locations so quickly that Greenwich was simply a next in its progression into the Fairfield area and their many hedge funds.

“We”™ve had a lot of growth this year in Fairfield County, with one location in Stamford and one in Shelton in addition to our three locations in Hartford,” said Doughman. “We want to be an amenity to the building and an amenity to Greenwich.”

The Putnam Avenue location has been open since the start of December and is already 15 percent occupied. The 14,000-square-foot facility is equipped with high-speed Internet access and digital telephone service that will be managed by an IT support team. Business services that will be offered include administrative support; access to the center”™s meeting rooms, videoconferencing studios and business lounge. Regus offers leases with three months minimum and a two years maximum.

“There are a lot of opportunities in Greenwich,” said Doug Berkowitz, Greenwich Regus Center general manager.Â “We deal with new startup companies to fortune 500 companies who are looking to open new office branches.”

Matthew Tuttle is president of Tuttle Wealth Management L.L.C., a provider of investment management services to high-net-worth individuals and their businesses with an office at Regus”™ 1 Stamford Plaza location in downtown Stamford.
