What to make for Valentine’s Day? Reservations

Apropos, a contemporary American restaurant at the Abbey Inn & Spa in Peekskill, will celebrate”¯Valentine”™s”¯Day”¯with a locally sourced special menu on Tuesday, Feb. 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. 

Executive chef Jared Secor proposes a four-course, prix-fixe ($90) menu with a choice of antipasti, pasta, entrée and dessert. The choices include a winter green salad; tagliatelle with duck ragu, cocoa and pickled cherries; grilled New York striploin with rosemary potatoes, crispy onions and green peppercorn jus; and Moscato panna cotta with grape gelée and olive oil. Vegetarians can enjoy roasted baby beets; cavatelli with ricotta and pomodoro sauce; a cauliflower steak with farro and winter truffle vinaigrette; and a chocolate mousse with raspberry chili coulis. 

At Goosefeather in Tarrytown, chef Dale Talde”¯will be serving a modern Cantonese”¯three-course prix-fixe menu”¯($130 per person, gratuity included)”¯on”¯Friday, Feb. 10; Saturday, Feb. 11; and”¯Tuesday, Feb. 14.”¯An optional”¯$35 per person wine pairing”¯will be offered as well.”¯ Reservations are open on”¯Resy. 

Jean-Georges Vongerichten is offering a special Valentine”™s Day menu at his 13 metro-area restaurants, including the new Happy Monkey in Greenwich and The Inn at Pound Ridge by Jean-Georges.
