Playland’s back with new eateries and entertainment

Just in time for Memorial Day weekend, Playland has reopened with new rides and restaurants to complement the 1928 Art Deco amusement complex. 

Among the offerings are the Fountain Plaza Show, which features synchronized water, music and lights; a Jack the Puppeteer ride; “Play! Verse ”“ An Immersive Adventure,” with various room designs for photo ops; Tiki Beach, an upscale restaurant; the more casual Captain Lawrence Beer Garden for outdoor eating only; a new waterfront slide and a new pool, with  zero-depth entry and state-of-the-art lounge furniture, at Playland Beach; and new paddle boats at the historic Boathouse.
