Father”™s Day was underscored at Greenwich Polo Club Sunday, June 18, as the legendary Mariano Aguerre took to the field in the number three position for the GTFO team against team Loudmouth, for which son Antonio played the number four position.

With the East Coast Bronze Cup on the line, Loudmouth lived up to its name in brightly colored shirts and a blazing early start. But GTFO, in classic white, quickly responded, and the lead seesawed until Loudmouth finally prevailed 11 to 10.

Nonetheless, the senior Aguerre did not look disappointed in the post-match trophy presentation. How often can a dad say he played against his victorious son in a championship polo match?

One cup down but the East Coast Silver Cup will be contested Sunday, Jun. 25. For more, visit greenwichpoloclub.com.
