An arts center for all seasons

As the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts”™ Summer Season continues in Katonah through Aug. 18, the center has announced its Fall-Spring Concert Season.  

It features an eclectic array of recitals, chamber music, jazz, American Roots, the Great American Songbook and family programs. Plus,”¯Caramoor will present a celebration of”¯Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, for the third year as a free outdoor community event. The rich cultural holiday will be observed through traditional music, dance, arts and crafts and storytelling so that loved ones are honored. Featured artists include the”¯Calpulli Mexican Dance Company”¯(Oct. 15). 

Also on tap are”¯funk, jazz and alternative-folk musician Alisa Amador”¯(Nov. 3) and”¯singer, songwriter, poet, activist and multi-instrumentalist”¯Allison Russell, who will offer a special benefit concert in the Rosen House Music Room (Dec. 2). Other performers include”¯genre-bending South African cellist”¯Abel Selaocoe”¯(Oct. 22) and”¯Jake Blount,”¯an award-winning interpreter of Black folk music (May 11).
