Greenwich will again celebrate Independence Day with fireworks displays at Binney Park and Greenwich Point. The evening of July 1 will see the skies filled with palm trees, dragon eggs, flying fish, and various fireworks. The Town of Greenwich’s Department of Parks and Recreation organizes and manages the events.
“The Town’s Annual Fourth of July Fireworks is always the most popular town-wide event,” said Joseph Siciliano, Director of Parks & Recreation. “The Bang for Your Buck fundraiser enhances the fireworks displays at Binney Park and Greenwich Point. While the Town of Greenwich funds the bulk of the cost of the displays, donations to this fundraiser mean longer and more dramatic effects. You can hear the crowd yelling for more at the end of every year’s event. Contributions will help us please the crowd and make such a fun-filled family event even better”.
Contributions can be made to the Town of Greenwich Parks & Recreation Foundation and are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. “Every dollar helps, and suggested levels start at just $25 and up,” explained Siciliano. Details on making contributions can be found at https://www.towngreenwichprfoundation.org.
The Foundation is a tax-exempt entity designed to supplement public funding with our community’s private donations and volunteer efforts to support the Town’s beautiful outdoors and related programs for the community.
