Join us for a workshop and talk by Dr. Yoni Schwab, Assistant Head of School at the Shefa School in Manhattan, on our families’ relationships with screens, hosted by WJCS, JECA & PJ library
We will use psychological science to strategize how to change our families’ relationships with screens to maximize their benefits and minimize their harms – and work to overcome the collective action challenges in our communities.
When Jonathan Haidt’s bestselling book, The Anxious Generation, was published last year, it sparked a national conversation about the harms that smartphones and social media have on children and teens. Phones or tablets have become ubiquitous and indispensable to our lives, so how do we learn to live with these powerful, useful, and addictive technologies? The best time to chart that path is when our children are very young – when we as parents have the most control over their access to technology. Join us on the 23rd to begin your family’s planning on navigating screens to help our youngest thrive.
