Stamford Downtown to debut ‘Fire & Ice’ on Jan. 27

Stamford Downtown will hosting the new free event in 2024 entitled “Fire & Ice” on Saturday, Jan. 27.

The event will take place at Columbus Park at West Park Place and Main Street from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; a rain date was slated for Jan. 28. Fire & Ice is being promoted as a “cozy winter festival” featuring ice sculpting demonstrations, fire pits and outdoor and indoor dining at the surrounding restaurants.

“Following Fire & Ice we encourage attendees to head over to Mill River Park for ‘Prelude,’” said Stamford Downtown. “This free-to-the-public walk-through light installation by world-renowned light artist, Kari Kola, will set your mind ablaze with inspiring illuminations. As you stroll down the path along the Mill River, pause to enjoy the slow, contemplative music and take notice of how the lights installed among the dormant riverbed gardens highlight the stark beauty of nature in midwinter.”

More information on the event is available on the Stamford Downtown website.
