Red Hot Chili Peppers and John Mayer to headline next Sound On Sound festival

Bridgeport”™s Sound On Sound festival is returning for a second edition from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 at the city”™s Seaside Park.

This year”™s event will feature Bridgeport native John Mayer, along with music icons Red Hot Chili Peppers and Alanis Morissette. Other performers scheduled to appear include Trey Anastasio Band, Hozier, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Lord Huron, Dispatch, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Mt. Joy, Steel Pulse, Joy Oladokun and Margo Price.

A special presale for all ticket types including General Admission, Premier Seats, Sky Deck, VIP and Super VIP Tickets will be available exclusively for Citi Cardmembers beginning today through 11:59 a.m. at a presale link. General tickets will be available to the public on March 9 at 12:00 p.m. on the event”™s website.

The event”™s organizers promised to address the multiple logistical problems that occurred at last year”™s inaugural event, with a larger festival footprint that is easier to navigate, three times as many food and beverage vendors, upgraded restroom facilities, improved venue lighting, and increased mobile connectivity and coverage via additional portable cell towers.

“Tens of thousands of people from all over will be visiting Bridgeport to enjoy top notch entertainment, utilize restaurants and services in the city and surrounding communities, while being exposed to one of Bridgeport”™s best assets, Seaside Park,” said Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim. “As mayor, I cannot be prouder or happier.”
