Pace University hosts May 8 premiere of documentary on slow food movement

Pace University”™s documentary film team PaceDocs will premiere its latest film “For the Love of Food: Pour l”™amour de la Cuisine” on May 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville.

The documentary is produced by Dr. Maria Luskay, Professor Lou Guarneri, and Pace University”™s documentary film team and- focuses on the slow food movement, which began in Europe during the 1980s to preserve the culture of eating locally and combating the popularization of fast food. Production on the film spanned 14 weeks on locations across France and New York and included interviews with farmers, chefs, and restaurateurs who have dedicated their lives to making slow food a reality in a fast-paced world.
