Stamford tops new list of US cities that are ‘Best Places to Get Rich’

The website LifeAndMyFinances.com has ranked Stamford first in its new listing of the “Top 10 US Cities to Live In: Best Places to Get Rich.”

In praising Stamford, the website noted the city had a cost of living per household of $73,110 and an average household income of $164,837, thus leaving residence with excess income of $91,727 per year.

“Not too shabby, right?” asked Halina GrzeÅ›kiewicz, who authored the new study. “Plus, Stamford”™s got the best of both worlds. Its convenient location near New York allows residents to reap the benefits of the Big Apple”™s economic advantages while enjoying a more relaxed, suburban atmosphere.”

GrzeÅ›kiewicz also pointed to a property tax rate of 2.14%, an average monthly rent of $2,789 and a 4.4% unemployment rate. And is case anyone was worried that miscreants would try to pilfer their excess income, GrzeÅ›kiewicz added that “the FBI hailed Stamford as the safest city in New England and the 11th safest city in the United States.”
