Yonkers Downtown International Restaurant Week begins next week

Hungry diners rejoice: The 5th annual Yonkers Downtown International Restaurant Week kicks off Jan. 10.

Sponsored by the Yonkers Downtown Business Improvement District, the weeklong event that runs through Jan. 16 will feature ten eateries along the Hudson River, all of which will offer 20 percent off lunch meals and 25 percent off dinners.

Diners must print a required certificate from YonkersRestaurantWeek.com as well as make reservations over the phone and mention Yonkers International Restaurant Week when doing so to receive the discount.

Participating restaurants include Dolphin Restaurant, La Bella Havana, Giovanni’s IV Italian, Guapo Cocina Mexicana, Khangri Japanese Sushi, Nawab Indian Cuisine, X20 Xaviars on the Hudson, Zuppa Restaurant & Lounge, The Pizza Place and Yonkers Brewing Co.

In a release, officials called downtown Yonkers a “creative hub for entrepreneurs and social gatherings,” adding that the most exciting aspect was its award-winning restaurants.

“Yonkers International Restaurant Week is a once-a-year opportunity to get great food and huge discounts,” said Yonkers Downtown BID Executive Director Daniel Lipka. “Restaurant Week gives us a chance to showcase our unique dining spots and introduce them to a new audience.”
