WEDC to hold sixth annual luncheon and marketplace
The Women’s Enterprise Development Center will hold its sixth annual spring luncheon and marketplace Thursday at the Tappan Hill Mansion in Tarrytown.
At the event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the WEDC will honor two area women entrepreneurs and hold a marketplace showcasing products developed by entrepreneurs.
The two honorees are Millie Hernandez-Becker, president and CEO, Skyqueen Enterprises, and Susan Lonergan, managing director and Northeast region sales executive for small business banking, Bank of America. The luncheon’s keynote speaker is United Rentals Chairman Jenne K. Britell.
The marketplace will open at 11 a.m. and will feature products and services developed by graduates of the WEDC business training program.
The WEDC is a nonprofit that provides entrepreneurs with training programs, advisory services and access to capital to spur economic growth in the region. The organization is based on Westchester Avenue in White Plains.
