Brian Wrye, HVTDC development director;Â Ritva Jolkkonen, Finland’s Consul General; and Kristiina Helenius, AmCham Managing Director
Brian C. Wrye, business development director for the Hudson Valley Technology Development Corp. based in Fishkill, likes the idea of doing business with Finland. And after HVTDC”™s meeting with Finland”™s consul general and the Finland-American Chamber of Commerce at a breakfast in Manhattan on May 15, it appears the feeling is mutual.
“It was an honor to be the sole business development organization from the Hudson Valley to attend this breakfast meeting,” said Wrye, HVTDC”™s business development director, in a prepared statement. “I was pleased to provide information on the all-encompassing resources that exist in the Hudson Valley for any international company seeking a U.S. presence.”Â
Ritva Jolkkonen, Finland”™s Consul General, introduced the leading businesses in Helsinki to businesses in and around the New York City area. AmCham Finland managing director Kristina Helenius welcomed US companies and economic development organizations from around the state to join the chamber, which boasts more than 200 Finnish. European and American companies.
Helenius said the Am-Cham mission is to present North American companies with opportunities to invest in Finland and to strike partnerships with Finnish information and communication technology companies.
