Maisano named minority leader
A new leadership team for the Republican caucus of the Westchester County Board of Legislators has been named for the 2010-11 term.
James Maisano of District 11 will serve as minority leader and Gordon Burrows of District 15 will serve in the position of minority whip.
Maisano previously served as minority whip; Burrows was on the Yonkers City Council for 10 years, seven as majority leader.
Other Republican board members include County Legislator Bernice Spreckman of District 14 and newly elected County Legislator John Testa of the 1st District.
“The Republican caucus is committed to reforming county government by promoting initiatives to reduce spending, lower taxes and consolidate operations, “ Maisano said in a statement. “We look forward to working in a bipartisan way to improve the quality of life in Westchester.”
