Innovation Center preps for second Startup Weekend
The Stamford Innovation Center will host its second annual Startup Weekend April 26-28.
The event will start with business pitches Friday night. Teams will be formed around the ideas individuals like best. On Saturday and Sunday, the teams will build business models and begin coding, designing and creating their product and validating their market. At the end of the event, three winners will be chosen.
“This event offers an unparalleled experiential learning platform for the smart and engaged members of the Connecticut technology and entrepreneurial community,” said Peter Propp, the center’s vice president of marketing, in a statement. “Watching the teams join together to co-create new applications and then develop their business models and presentations is very rewarding to watch. Whether they start a company, find a cofounder, meet someone new or learn a new skill, everyone who attends Startup Weekend Stamford is guaranteed to be better prepared to navigate the challenging and exciting world of startups.”
