Heineken CEO named Henry Crown fellow by Aspen Institute

The Aspen Institute recently announced Heineken USA’s Dolf van den Brink will join the 2014 class of Henry Crown fellows.

Each fellow accepted into the program is a proven entrepreneur, under the age of 45, who has agreed to use his or her talents to help solve some of the world’s greatest challenges. Once accepted, each fellow will launch a new initiative to positively affect his or her community, country or the world.

Heineken USA, based in White Plains, named van den Brink CEO in 2009. He first joined Heineken in 1998 and has served in various international roles including ones in The Netherlands and the Democratic Republic of Congo. While in Congo, he established the Bralima Foundation to give back to the community and helped support the En Classe Foundation, which rebuilt and supported 25 schools.

The Henry Crown Fellowship Program was established in 1997 and feeds into a the larger Aspen Global Leadership Network, which currently includes 1,800 fellows across 46 countries.
