Czajka returns to Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress
Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress, the Newburgh research and policy nonprofit that works toward the economic and social betterment of the region, announced that Joseph Czajka has been  appointed senior vice president for research, development and community planning.
Czajka, a town of Newburgh resident, most recently served as executive director of the Middletown-based Regional Economic Community Action Program. He previously served as the founding executive director of Pattern for Progress’ Center for Housing Solutions and Urban Initiatives, a position he will also return to.
Officials said in a press release he will assist the organization in its Urban Action Agenda, a Ford Foundation-funded initiative that works toward the revitalization of 25 urban centers throughout the Hudson Valley.
Pattern For Progress works to enhance growth in Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan, Ulster, Dutchess, Columbia and Greene counties. The organization, founded in 1965, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
