Anchors aweigh for jobs at Steelpointe Harbor

JobsÂ that had been abstractions on paper came closer to realityÂ today in Bridgeport at Steelpointe Harbor ”“ Bridgeport Landing Development LLC”™s 2 million-square-foot multiuse development and marina beside Interstate 95 ”“ with the kickoff of a pair of job fairs.

Chipotle Mexican GrillÂ and Bass Pro Shops, which are expected to open new stores at Steelpointe Harbor later this year, will host job fairs over the next twoÂ weeks.

Chipotle”™s job fairÂ is today, Aug. 17, and Monday, Aug. 24, 1 to 2 p.m. each day, at 350 Fairfield Ave., Bridgeport.

Chipotle will host another job fair on Aug. 27 at 999 Broad St., Bridgeport.

Bass Pro Shops will host a job fair for its new Bridgeport location today, Aug. 17,Â and also Aug. 18 and Aug. 19, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, 910 FairfieldÂ Ave.

Neither store posted potential employment numbers.

Steelpointe Harbor incorporates 82 acres and will feature more than 750,000 square feet of retail, restaurants and entertainment, two hotels, 1,100 mid- and high-rise residential units, 30,000 square feet of office space and a 200-slip deepwater marina. Bridgeport Landing Development recently announced a CinÃ©polis USA movie facility willÂ include two types of theaters in 50,000 square feet.
